With regard to the question of overtime inay I be, permitted to say that it was never my intention to ask for pay- -ment. I merely worked such hours as were necessary to keep all the work entrusted to my care up to date, a course I hope to continue until my departure, trusting that the Government in due course would recognise the special nature of my service.
I did not therefore keep any complete record of my
overtime, though from time to time I jotted down in my diary cer- -tain hours worked, an abstract of which I beg to enclose.
I think it only fair to myself to point out however that this does not by any means represent all the extra time I have
devoted to the Service.
I have etc.,
